January 20 through February 5th 2009
Boffa, Guinea, West Africa Men Of Vision Evangelize is pleased to announce that our next project will be in Guinea, West Africa at the town of Boffa. Our project will be to build a church approximately 30’ X 45’ for the congregation of this African town. Our hosts will be Tom and Sherry Moore. They are veteran missionaries who have not only spent years leading people to Christ in Africa but also grew up there as missionary children. Their love and dedication to these people is evident in all they do. Tom and Sherry are also excellent hosts and have always provided awesome care and support for our crews. The travel to Guinea is long and a tiring. Expect about 24 hours of travel and connection time as you cross many time zones to reach the African continent. We will spend the night with Tom and Sherry at their compound in Conakry and then travel to Boffa the next day for two weeks of luxurious vacation at the best resort in Africa…. Well, maybe not! Expect a lot of hot, humid weather; dust when it’s dry and mud if it rains. Your private suite will be a room full of roommates sleeping on mattresses that aren’t the “Sleep Number” type. No air conditioning here. Power will be by generator when we need it. Conditions will definitely not be like home! If you can make the necessary sacrifices and join us on this trip you will meet the best people you have ever come to know in the locals and will never forget the experience of serving our Lord in this beautiful country alongside the Moores. You will come to know your brothers who have joined you in building this church as best friends and brothers in Christ such as you have never had. The sacrifices are many but the reward in heaven is great! The cost of this fun and exciting trip is $3150.00. Apply soon as June 30th is the date to have your completed application in to me with your $200.00 deposit (refundable if you are not accepted). The balance will be due in two additional payments. The first payment will be for $1400.00 due by September 15, 2008. The final payment of $1550.00 will be due by December 1, 2008. Our maximum crew for this trip is 30 so if over that many apply a drawing will be needed soon after June 30th to determine who will go. A passport will be required to go on this trip.
