Men Of Vision Evangelize
About MOVE Print E-mail

M.O.V.E. is Men Of Vision Evangelize and is a ministry of Open Bible Churches. Our theme scriptures are Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature..." and Matthew 5:16,"Let your light so shine before men that they will see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven"

Each year a short term mission trip of approximately two weeks is planned to travel to a foreign country with a group of men from across the U.S. These men are given an opportunity to minister to the people of the country they travel to with both their hands and their hearts. Lives are changed and lost souls are saved. In addition the men minister to each other. Those who go with an attitude of blessing others come home as blessed and changed men.

2011 Coihueco Chile Trip Report - God's Call

As Men of Vision Evangelize (MOVE) was planning a building project for 2011, it appeared we had a location selected and had even traveled to that country for planning. Yet for whatever reason, things were not coming together. We realized that particular location wasn’t a good fit at this time and contacted Vince McCarty at Open Bible International Ministries. He immediately told us of a church in another country that needed rebuilding. This was God’s call for MOVE in 2011. Though preparation time was short, God made that one all come together. As we honored His call, He blessed us with the opportunity to serve Him where He wanted us – Coihueco, Chile!

The church in Coihueco had been destroyed in the earthquake of February 2010. Pastored by Juan and Perla Leiva, the congregation had been forced to hold services in a shop building on the pastor’s property for a year prior to the MOVE team’s arrival.

Twenty-three men from California, Iowa, Oregon, and Washington made the long journey to Coihueco to help raise this temple again so the congregation would have a place to worship and bring others to the Lord. Though the structure wasn’t large, it was complicated to build and presented quite a challenge for our small crew. We spent long hours constructing the new building. Men from all skill levels mixed mortar and concrete, laid block, built rebar cages, and welded, along with many other tasks. No one had a problem going to sleep at night as we were very tired every day from working so hard.

2012 Mancarron (Ochomogo) Nicaragua Trip Announcement

Nicaragua Map

This year we will be returning to Nicaragua to the Rivas region in a town called Mancarron. Mancarron is about two and one half hour’s drive south of Managua, the capitol city of this beautiful Central American country. We will be about a 1-1/2  hours from the town of San Marcos where MOVE visited in 2006 and 2008 building our largest project ever.

We will be building a church for the congregation, which is led by Pastor Eusebio and his wife Yadira, and has 60 children and 45 adults. Nelson and Tirsa Gaitan are the directors of Open Bible’s ministry in Nicaragua. They have hosted two trips by MOVE in San Marcos where they live and will be involved with our visit to Mancarron.
